Description
This hard-working little camera measures just under 3 by 3 by 3 centimetres. It’s easy to slip into a pocket and works reliably. We tested the device and found that it exceeded the manufacturer’s specifications by 12 minutes. The camera therefore records for over 4 hours. The quality is impeccable at 1080 Full HD, and the sound quality leaves nothing to be desired either. You can set the date and time via a text file and also specify whether this information should be displayed on the video. The camera can also be set to continuous power. It doesn’t matter whether this is done using a power bank or a mains adapter. The package also includes, amongst other things, a gooseneck USB connector, so you can adjust the camera whilst it is connected to the power source. There is a magnet on the back, though this is not a neodymium magnet but a ferrite magnet. You simply cannot go wrong when operating it. One press to enter standby mode and another to start recording. You can view the recordings by connecting the camera to your PC or Mac via a USB cable, or by removing the microSD card and inserting it into your computer.
However, we want to spare you two misconceptions: the infrared mode isn’t particularly good, and the motion detection isn’t exactly the epitome of reliability either. This camera is designed for continuous recording, and as mentioned, it can manage this for four hours. We don’t want to sugarcoat anything, and we won’t accept any of the manufacturer’s claims that we haven’t been able to confirm during our stress tests.
