The adapter is fully functional and serves as the most common charger for mobile phones, tablets or any other 5V USB device. Even the most thorough visual inspection will reveal nothing inside. There are no holes or slots (not even for the microphone), no lights, no moving parts, no screws, and the device cannot be opened in any way unless it is physically destroyed. It is switched on and off remotely via a specially coded USB cable; the device has no switches. Downloading recordings, switching the device on and adjusting the recording parameters are only possible using the specially coded USB cable supplied with the device. The battery recharges every time the device is plugged into a 220 V socket. If it is completely flat, the battery will be fully recharged in just 4 hours when plugged into a 220 V socket.
